Srinagar: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday called upon the people to collectively shoulder the responsibility of ensuring the success of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ (drug-free) campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. He also expressed support for Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s announcement that strict legal action would be taken against drug smugglers.

Taking to the micro-blogging site X, Apni Party President wrote: “It is the responsibility of every citizen of Jammu & Kashmir to actively contribute towards the success of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign, launched today. At a time when a significant number of our youth have already fallen victim to the growing drug menace, and many more remain vulnerable, such an initiative is both timely and essential.”

He further said, “I also commend and support Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha for announcing stringent punitive measures, including the cancellation of passports and Aadhaar cards, as well as the attachment of properties belonging to drug smugglers. Such firm actions are necessary to break the backbone of the drug network and protect our youth.”

“Let us unite to make this campaign a success,” Bukhari emphasised.
