Srinagar: Police in Sopore have arrested two persons for their alleged complicity in theft and recovered stolen property from them, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
Investigating a case of theft at a workshop at Putkha during the intervening night of April 05 and 06, police identified and arrested two suspects — Kaiser Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Qayoom Malik, and Jehangir Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Gani Mir, both residents of Bangdara Choora.
During sustained examination, the accused confessed their involvement in theft and on their disclosure, the stolen property was recovered. Further investigation is underway to ascertain any additional involvement, police said.
