The leaders emphasized that the affected population, particularly farmers and orchardists, have suffered significant losses at a crucial time of the year, which may severely impact their livelihoods. They urged the government to immediately deploy assessment teams to evaluate the extent of damage and ensure timely compensation to those affected.

Highlighting the need for a coordinated response, the leaders called for the activation of disaster management mechanisms and the provision of adequate relief in the form of financial assistance, crop insurance support and restoration of essential services in the affected areas.

They further stressed that swift intervention by the authorities would not only alleviate the hardships faced by the affected families but also reinforce public confidence in the administration’s commitment to their welfare.
