Master Plan being formulated for Bhaderwah Development Authority: Govt

JAMMU: The Tourism department is formulating a comprehensive Master Plan for Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), which is currently underway.

This was stated by Minister for Health and Medical Education Sakeena Itoo, in the House today, while replying to a question raised by Legislator Shakti Raj Parihar on behalf of MLA Daleep Singh regarding Municipal Committee Bhaderwah. She was replying on behalf of the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.

She informed that the Tourism department is in the process of initiating a time-bound exercise for the formulation/revision of Master Plans for various Tourism Development Authorities, including the Bhaderwah Development Authority, for incorporating updated planning and development requirements.

The Minister also stated that the Municipal Committee Bhaderwah is not facing a dearth of funds regarding the construction/renovation of lanes/footpaths and drains in its 13 Wards.

She also said that the existing Master Plans shall remain in force until they are lawfully revised or replaced, thereby ensuring continuity in planning control and regulated development.
