SRINAGAR: Three Army personnel were injured in an alleged accidental firing incident at an Army camp in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district late Saturday night, officials said.
The incident took place at the camp in the Trehgam area when the service weapon of a soldier reportedly discharged accidentally, injuring three of his colleagues.
Army officials said the injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby military hospital for treatment.
An Army officer confirmed that all three soldiers are undergoing treatment and their condition is stated to be stable.
The circumstances surrounding the accidental discharge are being looked into, officials added.
