Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday called for immediate de-escalation and urged all parties involved to exercise restraint.
He said that the continuation of hostilities poses a serious threat to regional stability, global peace.
Dr. Farooq appealed to the nations and international mediators engaged in facilitating dialogue to use their influence and diplomatic channels to the fullest, encouraging all stakeholders to come to the negotiating table in a spirit of compromise and mutual understanding. He stressed that only sustained dialogue and constructive engagement can lead to a lasting solution that addresses the underlying issues and brings peace to the region.
He further highlighted that prolonged conflict in West Asia not only endangers human lives but also has far-reaching implications for global security, trade, and humanitarian conditions.
Dr. Farooq reiterated the National Conference’s longstanding commitment to peace, justice, and diplomacy, urging the global community to redouble efforts in promoting a resolution that ensures lasting stability and safeguards human dignity.
