Srinagar: Police in Budgam have solved three theft cases, arrested the accused, and recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹6 lakhs, a police spokesperson informed Tuesday.
He said during investigation of three separate cases of theft, police with the help of analysis of CCTV footage and technical evidence identified and arrested the accused persons, who during sustained questioning, confessed to their involvement in multiple thefts. Based on their disclosure, stolen items including copper utensils, electronic gadgets, and other household goods were recovered. Subsequently, all the accused were arrested and are currently in police custody, police said without identifying the accused.
It said further investigation is underway to determine their involvement in other cases.
