Army Commander reviews security, operational readiness in J&K

Jammu:  Northern Army Commander Lt General Pratik Sharma on Wednesday visited the headquarters of the White Knights Corps based in Nagrota (Jammu), and the Chinar Corps in Srinagar to review operational and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

During his visit, he called upon troops to ensure the safety, security and well-being of the people while maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness.

“Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited Srinagar and Nagrota to undertake a comprehensive review of the operational and security situation,” the Northern Command headquarters said in a post on X.

During the visit, the Army commander interacted with formation commanders and held detailed deliberations on the evolving security dynamics in the region.

He also reviewed strategies aimed at strengthening multi-domain surveillance, enhancing real-time intelligence integration, and maintaining vigil along the borders and hinterland, the Army said.

Emphasis was laid on synergy among security agencies to sustain peace, stability and normalcy across Jammu and Kashmir.
