Jammu: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 till March 11.
According to a public notice issued by the NTA, candidates can now submit their application forms up to 9:00 PM on March 11, while the payment of examination fees can be made till 11:50 PM on the same day.
“The last date for submission of Online Application Form for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET (UG)] – 2026 has been extended up to 11th March, 2026 (09:00 PM). The payment of fees can be made up to 11:50 PM on 11.03.2026,” the notice stated, adding that no further extension will be granted.
The extension follows an intervention by Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Health and Medical Education Sakeena Itoo, who had written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on March 6 requesting an extension in view of recent internet restrictions in the Kashmir Valley.
In her communication, Itoo highlighted that many students were facing difficulties in completing the application process due to slow internet connectivity and issues with OTP verification during submission.
She expressed gratitude to the Union Education Minister for promptly considering the request and extending the deadline by three days.
“This decision will greatly help many students from the Kashmir Valley who faced difficulties in submitting their forms due to internet speed limitations. I am grateful for the timely support to ensure that no aspirant misses the opportunity,” she said.
The minister advised students not to wait until the last moment and urged them to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid technical issues.
“All aspiring candidates who have not yet completed their application process should take advantage of the extended deadline and ensure their forms are submitted within the stipulated time,” she added.
