Police said Malik had allegedly cheated several youths from Srinagar by promising them job placements abroad, particularly in Armenia.

He was wanted in connection with FIR No. 02/2025 registered at Police Station SCW, Crime Branch Kashmir.

A special team of the Crime Branch tracked the accused and apprehended him in Faridabad. Following his arrest, transit remand was obtained from the Duty Magistrate Court in Faridabad, after which he was brought to Srinagar and produced before the competent court.

Police said further investigation in the case is underway.

Meanwhile, the Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has advised the general public, particularly youth seeking employment abroad, to verify the authenticity of job placement agencies and consultancies before making any payments to avoid falling victim to fraud.
