DC Ganderbal reviews progress under District CAPEX Budget 2025–26

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works being executed under the District CAPEX Budget 2025–26 in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of key sectors, including I&FC, Jal Shakti, PW (R&B), KPDCL, Health, Education, etc., emphasising the urgent need to complete all ongoing projects as the financial year draws to a close.

The DC took a detailed review of both physical and financial achievements under the approved works and stressed the need for timely completion of all projects within the stipulated timeframe.

Threadbare discussions were also held with the concerned officers regarding the status of ongoing works being implemented under different programmes, including Area Development Plan (DDC Grants, BDC Grants, and PRI Grants), besides Aspirational Block Development Programme and Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme.

Officers were directed to expedite progress on all ongoing projects, ensure proper utilisation of funds and maintain quality standards.

The DC emphasised close monitoring of works and called for improved coordination among departments to avoid delays.

Later, the DC reviewed the progress on the identification of suitable land and the construction of assets, including DEWATS, Segregation Sheds and Soakage Pits under the Rural Development Department (RDD) across the district.

The DC directed concerned BDOs to expedite the construction of developmental works on the already identified suitable land in different blocks.

He stressed the need for timely compliance and concerted efforts by all stakeholders to strengthen rural infrastructure across the district.

Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, I&FC, PW (R&B), Jal Shakti, besides other officers and officials, attended the meeting.
