Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said during checking at Janwara Crossing, police intercepted a vehicle (JK05N-4224) with two persons onboard. Upon search of the vehicle, psychotropic substances were recovered and seized, following with both persons travelling in it — Mohammad Arif Chopan, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Chopan, and Aatif Mushtaq Mir, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, residents of Janwara Sopore – were arrested.
A case has been registered at Police Station Sopore for investigation.
