Srinagar, Feb 26: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Thursday announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama districts to carry out maintenance works on various 33 kV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 kV Karan Nagar line will be observed on March 1, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, due to which electricity supply to Chattabal, Balgarden, Zaldagar, Civil Secretariat, Gole Market, Guru Bazar, Tankipora, Shaheed Gunj and adjoining areas will remain affected.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam SIDCO tap line will be carried out on March 3, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, affecting power supply to Housing Colony, NIFT and adjoining areas.

The corporation also said the shutdown of the 33 kV Nagam–Hafroo tap line will take place on February 28 and March 3, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, impacting electricity supply to Hafroo, Buzgo, Gogipathri, Ladden, Brinjin, Shopora, Loolipora, Naharpora, Watkaloo and neighbouring localities.

Further, the tap line of the 33 kV Tral first line from Nowdal will remain shut on February 28 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, affecting Tral-i-Payeen, Devar, Pinglish, Chewa, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore SIDCO line on March 1, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm will affect power supply to Industrial Estate Khrew and cement plants, Wuyan, P-II, P-I, Industrial Estate Wuyan, Namblabal, Drangbal, Khadermoh and nearby areas.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled shutdown period.
