Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme concludes at Srinagar

Srinagar: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, Srinagar, concluded today at SCERT Bemina, Srinagar, marking the culmination of the five-day youth engagement initiative.

The programme brought together youth delegates for structured cultural interactions, dialogue sessions and outreach activities aimed at promoting inter-state understanding and constructive youth engagement. During the exchange, participants were exposed to the cultural heritage, traditions and social landscape of Jammu & Kashmir, enabling meaningful peer learning and interaction.

Addressing the valedictory function, Chief Guest Waseem Akram, DYSP, underlined the importance of sustained youth participation in strengthening national integration and communal harmony. He stated that such exchange programmes provide a vital platform for young citizens to understand the country’s diversity and build mutual trust. He urged the participants to act as ambassadors of unity and carry forward the spirit of cooperation and responsible citizenship in their respective regions.

Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Srinagar, Pradeep Kumar, oversaw the conduct of the programme and briefed participants on the broader objectives of the initiative, which focuses on youth empowerment through exposure, dialogue and collaborative learning.

The event was supported by volunteers including Rahi Rayaz, Imran Khan, Inam Hussain, Muzamil Abbas and Muntazir Owais, whose coordinated efforts facilitated smooth execution of the programme.

The five-day programme concluded with the participants departing for their respective states after completion of scheduled activities.
