IGNOU opens registration for PGDRPC entrance test for July 2026 session

Srinagar: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened online registration for the entrance test for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRPC) for the July 2026 academic session through the Samarth Higher Education Admission Portal.

The programme, offered by the Discipline of Psychology under the School of Social Sciences, aims to develop skilled professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in rehabilitation psychology, a field dealing with assessment, intervention and support for persons with disabilities at different stages of life.

The curriculum includes training in disability assessment, psychosocial issues, rehabilitation counselling and community-based rehabilitation practices. Subjects covered include Disability and Rehabilitation, Psychosocial Issues in Disability, Rehabilitation Assessment and Counselling, Community-Based Rehabilitation, along with practical laboratory work in identification, assessment and intervention techniques.

The course conforms to the norms and guidelines of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and eligibility for admission will be governed as per the RCI Regulations, 2017.

Prospective candidates can register by creating a profile on the Samarth portal and uploading the required documents as per the eligibility criteria. The last date for submission of online applications is March 5, 2026. Detailed instructions and FAQs are available on the portal.
