Srinagar: The 132 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Srinagar, has been conferred the First Prize under Category-C in the Regional Official Language Award 2024-25 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, for its outstanding performance in the progressive use of Hindi in official work.
The prestigious Official Language Trophy and certificate were presented to Commandant W.R. Josuah by Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah at a समारोह held at the International Indoor Stadium in Agartala, Tripura, on Friday.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Vandi Sanjay Kumar, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with ministers, Members of Parliament, legislators, senior government officials and officers of the CRPF and other public sector organisations were present on the occasion.
The award recognises the battalion’s consistent efforts towards effective implementation of the Official Language Policy and promotion of Hindi in official functioning in accordance with statutory and constitutional provisions, officials said.
