KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns across Kashmir

Srinagar: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Monday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in various parts of the Valley to carry out maintenance works on several 33 KV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 KV Sarnal–Akura line will affect electricity supply to Akura, Nanil, Aung, Adlash, Nambal, Chee, Prakashpora and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 17, 2026.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Potushai–Nadihal line will impact power supply to Nishat, Papchan, Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, Nadihal, Guroora, Argam and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 17, 2026.

In north Kashmir, the shutdown of the 33 KV Bandipora–Gurez line will affect Kanzalwan, Baktoor, Kuragbal, Dawar, Wampora, Achoora, Markoot, Churwan, Razdan, NHPC Colony, Tragbal and nearby areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 21, 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–Khrew line will disrupt electricity supply to Shar A, Shar B, Wahab Sahab, Bathan, Nagandar and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 21 and 24, 2026.

Likewise, the 33 KV Pampore–Lethpora line shutdown will affect Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF camp areas, Ladhoo, Konibal, Chandhara, LIS and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 22 and 26, 2026.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and make alternative arrangements during the shutdown period.
