Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Thursday announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar and Baramulla district to facilitate maintenance works on transmission lines.
According to the department, the shutdown of the 33 kV Cheshmashahi–TRC–Nedous line will affect electricity supply to Dal area, Paras Hospital and 33 kV installations of the Rajbagh tap line from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 15, 2026.
Similarly, due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Nehalpora–Gulmarg line, power supply will remain affected in Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katlipora, Rangwali, Kulhama, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Krelweth, Malpora and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 14 and February 17, 2026.
KPDCL has advised residents and consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown period.
