MLA Gulmarg attends Mission YUVA awareness-cum-sanction prog at Town Hall Kunzer

Gulmarg: The YUVA Government of Jammu and Kashmir organised a one-day awareness-cum-sanction programme aimed at promoting self-employment and livelihood opportunities among the youth.

During the programme, successful beneficiaries shared their experiences, while representatives from Mission YUVA informed participants about various components and benefits of the scheme.

MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, he distributed sanction letters and cheques among newly approved beneficiaries and encouraged them to make the best use of the opportunities provided by the government.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA highlighted that the Gulmarg constituency possesses great potential in agro-based and tourism enterprises. He said that youth are the backbone of every nation and urged them to come forward and avail the benefits of such schemes to lead a life of dignity, honour, and financial independence. He also urged the concerned departments to organise more awareness programmes so that as many youth as possible can benefit from these initiatives.

Among the officers present were Rahil Amin, Assistant Director Employment, Baramulla; Nizam Ahmad Wani, District Employment & Career Counselling Officer, Baramulla; and Elika, Accounts Officer. They briefed the participants about different self-employment schemes and government support mechanisms.

A large number of local youths participated in the programme and expressed keen interest in the Mission YUVA initiatives aimed at self-employment generation.
