MLA Gulmarg attends J&K Evening event in Mumbai

Mumbai: MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, on Wednesday attended the J&K Evening event organised by the Department of Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir, at the Islamic Gymkhana, Marine Lines, Mumbai.

The event witnessed participation from tourism stakeholders, travel operators, and other distinguished guests.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah urged the participants to visit Kashmir, stating that the region offers world-class tourism experiences that are more affordable than international destinations like Switzerland.

He described Kashmir as a land blessed with pristine natural beauty, mesmerising meadows, and majestic mountains, making it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world.

Highlighting Gulmarg as a premier winter destination, the MLA said that winter in Gulmarg is truly worth enjoying, offering a wide range of adventure activities, including skiing, ice skating, and other snow-based experiences, which continue to draw tourists from across the globe.

At the conclusion of his address, Farooq Ahmad Shah reiterated the Government’s strong commitment towards promoting Jammu and Kashmir as a premier tourist destination, under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, Jenab Omar Abdullah, aimed at strengthening tourism infrastructure, enhancing visitor experiences, and placing Jammu and Kashmir prominently on the global tourism map.
