 DC Srinagar reviews progress of revenue record digitization

SRINAGAR JANUARY 14: In order to review the progress of digitisation of revenue records in the district, a meeting of senior Officers was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, here at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aadil Fareed; SDM West, Irfan Bahadur; SDM East, Zubair Ahmad; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar, and all Tehsildars of Srinagar District.

At the outset, the DC conducted Tehsil-wise progress achieved in the digitisation of revenue records of the district aimed to enhance transparency and efficiency in land records management.

The DC assessed the status of digitisation of land records, including data entry, verification, and updation processes and emphasised the need for timely completion of the digitisation process.

He stressed that accurate and comprehensive digitisation would significantly improve land records and streamline revenue-related services.

Emphasizing the importance of quality checks, the DC directed the officers to maintain close coordination among field functionaries to expedite the process while ensuring accuracy. He said that the digitization of revenue records is a key reform initiative of the government aimed at ensuring ease of access to land-related information for citizens.
