KPDCL announces scheduled power shutdowns across Kashmir

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed that several scheduled power shutdowns will be observed in different parts of Kashmir to facilitate essential maintenance works on transmission lines.

Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has informed that the Shutdown of 33 kV Tral 1st line will be observed due to which power supply to Tral, Devar, Pinglish, Dadsara, Chandrgam, Mandoora, Kahlil, Bajwani, Noorpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 04 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 kV Tapline of Tral-1st line from Nowdal will be observed due to which power supply to Tral-I, Payeen, Devar, Pinglish, Chewa, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 07 & 11 January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 kV Balhama/ Old TCI Tapline of Khunmoh SIDCO-I line will be observed due to which power supply to Wuyen, Balhama, Munpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 04 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 kV Pampore-SIDCO line & 33 kV Pampore-Pampore line will be observed due to which power supply to IE Khrew & Cement Plants, Wuyen, Pampore-I&II, IE Wuyen, Namblabal, Drangbal, Khadermoh and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 1st January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 kV Handwara Old line will be observed due to which power supply to Changimulla, Zachaldara, Wadipora, Adoora, Hangah, Haril, Lach, Batagund, and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 04 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 kV Pattan Amargarh Pattan, Pahallan, Hamray will be observed due to which power supply to Zangam, Nehalpora, Pattan, Hamray, Palhalan, Hospital, Wanigam and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 06 January 2026.
