The district-level MDP was inaugurated at Zainapora, Shopian, with 21 participants enrolled in the 30-hour training programme to be conducted over a period of six days. The programme has witnessed enthusiastic participation from local MSMEs and entrepreneurs.

The MDP aims to strengthen the managerial, financial, and operational capacities of MSMEs by providing practical, hands-on training in modern business management practices. The initiative seeks to enable entrepreneurs to scale their enterprises, improve competitiveness, and adopt sustainable and resilient business models.

The curriculum includes focused modules on business planning, marketing strategies, digital tools, financial literacy, statutory compliance, innovation, and leadership, complemented by case studies, mentorship sessions, and experiential workshops for real-world exposure.

During the programme, participants interacted with industry experts, JKEDI faculty, and certified trainers.

The parallel rollout of MDPs across 13 districts of the Union Territory underscores the commitment to inclusive enterprise development, particularly in remote and underserved areas.

JKEDI reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting MSME growth across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
