Annual Award Function held at Security Headquarters J&K

Jammu: An impressive Annual Award Function was organised on Tuesday at the Security Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu to recognise outstanding performance and service by officers and personnel of the Security Wing during the year 2025.

The function was presided over by Inspector General of Police, Security J&K, Sujit Kumar, IPS. The event was attended in person by SSP Security Jammu, Commandants of Jammu-based Security Battalions, Commandant JKAP 3rd/12th Battalion, SSP Civil Secretariat J&K, SSP PTWS J&K, and other gazetted officers of the Security Wing. SSP Security Kashmir, Commandant JKAP 11th Battalion, along with other gazetted officers, participated in the programme through virtual mode.

Addressing the gathering, the IGP Security J&K presented a detailed briefing highlighting the targets achieved by the Security Wing during 2025, key operational milestones, and the overall performance of subordinate units. He lauded the dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment shown by officers and personnel in successfully accomplishing assigned duties throughout the year, despite challenging operational conditions.

A dignified award ceremony was held on the occasion, during which the best performers of the year 2025 were felicitated with mementos and Commendation Certificates. The awards were conferred in recognition of exemplary service, outstanding performance and significant contributions towards strengthening and maintaining the security apparatus in the Union Territory.

The programme concluded on a note of motivation and renewed resolve, with the IGP Security J&K exhorting all ranks to continue discharging their duties with the same zeal, integrity and professionalism in the coming year, in furtherance of the mandate and objectives of the Security Wing.
