JK YES organises 2nd Sikh Youth Conference at Tagore Hall, Srinagar

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Empowerment Society (YES), registered under the Trust Act, organised the 2nd Sikh Youth Conference today at Tagore Hall, Srinagar.

The theme of the conference was “Remember Saka Chamkaur and Saka Sirhind.”

Many Sikh youth, intellectuals, and scholars participated in the programme, where they presented papers and shared their views on the theme.

Speaking to the media, President JK YES, Tejveer Singh, said, “On behalf of the organising team, I extend heartfelt gratitude to our speakers, attendees, and contributors. May the light of these teachings illuminate our paths and inspire generations to come.”

Organising Secretary Ajeetpal Singh said, “The legacy of martyrdom in Sikhism is a reminder of the power of self-sacrifice in creating a better world. It teaches us to rise above fear, to serve without expectation, and to uphold justice and compassion at all costs. Let us honour this legacy not just in remembrance, but in action, embodying the spirit of Shahadat in our daily lives.”

Prof Paramjeet Singh, Kawalnain Singh, Bhai Baljeet Singh, Balbir Singh, Dr Chintanjeet Kour, Dr Ajay Pal Singh, and other dignitaries attended the conference.
