Dr. Wani is the founder of Quality Healthcare Hospital, a 50-bedded, multi-speciality NABH-accredited institution located along the National Highway at Drugmulla. Among the first of its kind in rural Jammu and Kashmir, the hospital has emerged as a national benchmark for affordable, accessible and quality healthcare, providing advanced medical services comparable to those available in urban centres.

Established in a geographically remote and conflict-affected region, the institution has become a replicable model for improving healthcare delivery in underserved areas across India and in developing and conflict-affected regions globally.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Wani emphasised that bridging the gap between urban and peripheral healthcare infrastructure is essential to achieving the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where inclusive growth and equitable access to essential services remain central.

Over the past three years, Dr. Abdul Majid Wani has received several national and international recognitions for his work in healthcare, entrepreneurship and nation-building. A regular speaker at national and global forums, he has consistently advocated nationalism, patriotism and greater participation of Non-Resident Indians in India’s development. He believes that service to one’s people and country represents the highest form of patriotism.

The International Shiksham Award was formally conferred by Dr. Sarsang Nahajan, a world-renowned business leader and expert, along with Rabeeca Dahal, a globally respected academician known for promoting cross-cultural collaboration.

Dr. Wani has previously been honoured with several notable awards, including Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year at the Global Healthcare & Wellness Awards 2025, India SME 100 Awards 2025, Indian Doctors Pride Award 2025, Rashtriya Chikitsa Sewa Bhushan Samman 2025, and the Humanitarian Excellence Award 2025, among others.

The latest recognition reaffirms Dr. Abdul Majid Wani’s visionary leadership, commitment to compassionate healthcare, and his belief that innovation-driven healthcare at the grassroots can play a transformative role in strengthening India’s journey towards inclusive and sustainable development.
