Deputy CM holds Public Darbar at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu

Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today met scores of public representatives and individuals at the provincial headquarters at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu, during a Public Darbar.

Several delegations raised issues related to civic amenities, development works, employment, and other public welfare matters.

The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the grievances and assured the delegations of prompt redressal, directing the concerned departments to take necessary action.

The Public Darbar was convened by Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, who facilitated direct interaction between the public and the Deputy Chief Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Provincial President Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta said, “The Public Darbar was organised to provide a direct and effective platform for people to convey their grievances to the Deputy Chief Minister. Such initiatives strengthen public trust and ensure that genuine issues are addressed in a time-bound manner.”

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, while interacting with the delegations, highlighted the good governance initiatives of the elected government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He said, “The elected government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to transparency, accountability, and people-centric governance. Every genuine public grievance will be addressed on priority to ensure inclusive development and effective delivery of services.”
