The Minister emphasised the need to strengthen implementation mechanisms and expedite ongoing and proposed development works across the region to ensure timely and tangible benefits for the public.

During the meeting, detailed deliberation was held on the shortage of technical officers in R&B divisions.

The Minister stressed that addressing these manpower gaps is critical for effective planning, proper supervision and timely execution of infrastructure projects. He called for appropriate and immediate measures to overcome these deficiencies and avoid unnecessary delays.

Rana also laid special emphasis on execution of important projects, underscoring that optimal utilisation of available resources is essential to maximise public welfare and deliver visible development outcomes in the region.

Issues related to the uploading of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) on the PMGSY portal were also reviewed.

The Minister said that timely uploading of DPRs is vital to ensure prompt compliance with procedural requirements and to eliminate bottlenecks that often hinder project approvals and implementation.

Highlighting the importance of administrative efficiency, the Minister stressed proper routing and timely submission of official files to facilitate faster decision-making and approvals at various levels.

The Chief Secretary assured inter-departmental coordination, addressing manpower shortages and ensuring efficient utilisation of funds to accelerate development works and strengthen service delivery in Pir Panjal region.
