Jammu: At least ten students, four teachers and a cook were injured after a school picnic bus met with an accident in Jammu on Saturday.
According to the details, the bus ran over the divider and overturned on the Ring Road near Bishnah area this evening, triggering panic.
Officials said that the bus was carrying students of a private school Pragwal Akhnoor and was returning from a picnic. At least 15 persons sustained injuries in the accident.
They said that some of the injured students were shifted to AIIMS Jammu, while others were taken to Government Medical College, Jammu for treatment.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot soon after the accident to help the victims.
Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu told KNO that all the injured are stable and every possible assistance is being provided to them. “All senior medical teams from surgery, ortho, paediatrics, and critical care are present and taking care,” he added.
