Sapna Kotwal shared significant updates, announcing that two new pahari hostels are in the advanced stages of planning and are expected to be established shortly. This expansion aims to further augment student accommodation and support, she added.

Furthermore, Sapna Kotwal outlined her upcoming schedule, indicating that she will soon embark on a tour of the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. “The primary objectives of this visit are to engage directly with students residing in the pahari hostels, and hold consultations with prominent members of civil society,” she added. The tour is intended to get first-hand appraisal and address the concerns and needs of the community, she said.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to the educational advancement and welfare of Pahari students in Jammu & Kashmir.

The visiting delegation was comprised of Saif Qureshi, Anirudh Sharma, Rishiv Sharma, Hilal Ahmed Malik, Usman Khwaja and Sulaiman Khan.
