The workshop aimed to empower PM Vishwakarma artisans by introducing them to digital marketplace opportunities and guiding them through the Meesho onboarding process. Participants were given hands-on demonstrations on how to register as sellers, upload product details, manage catalogues, and handle online orders.

The Meesho team also briefed artisans on packaging standards, logistics support, and best practices for improving visibility and sales on the platform.

More than 80 artisans actively participated in the programme, reflecting strong enthusiasm and readiness to expand their market reach through e-commerce.

During the event, five artisans were successfully onboarded onto the Meesho platform, marking a significant step toward integrating traditional craft-based entrepreneurs with modern digital markets. The initiative aims to enhance the income prospects of artisans by connecting them directly with nationwide consumers.

The PM Vishwakarma scheme, implemented by the Ministry of MSME, focuses on supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 identified trades by providing skill training, toolkit incentives, credit support, and market linkages. The integration of artisans with e-commerce platforms is a key component of fostering sustainable self-employment and enhancing their competitiveness in today’s digital economy.

Officials highlighted that such programmes will continue across the Kashmir region to ensure that more eligible PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries benefit from structured market access initiatives. Other eligible artisans who attended the workshop will be onboarded onto the Meesho platform in the coming days.
