Delegations, industry representatives and social Leaders call on LG Sinha

JAMMU: A series of delegations and representatives from diverse sectors called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today to discuss developmental priorities and present sector-specific concerns.

A delegation of District Development Council Chairpersons comprising Col. Mahan Singh (Retd.), Chairman DDC Kathua; Keshav Dutt Sharma, Chairman DDC Samba; Bharat Bhushan, Chairman DDC Jammu; and Lal Chand, Chairman DDC Udhampur, apprised the Lt Governor of key development issues in their respective districts and sought continued support from the administration for ongoing projects.

Ravi Kumar, Spokesperson of the BJP Kisan Morcha J&K, also met the Lt Governor and discussed matters pertaining to farmers’ welfare and agricultural outreach.

In a separate meeting, Anuj Vaid, Chairman of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), J&K Chapter, called on the Lt Governor to deliberate on professional education, corporate governance, and opportunities for enhancing industry–academia collaboration. Later, a delegation of the Shaheed Kisan Baba Jitto Sangarsh Samiti, led by its President Partap Singh Jamwal, along with representatives of the Rice Mills Association J&K, also met the Lt Governor and highlighted issues concerning the agriculture and rice-processing sectors.

Additionally, Dr. Manorama Bakshi, Founder and Director of the Triloki Raj Foundation, accompanied by Co-Founder Er. Patanjali Dhar, called on the Lt Governor to brief him on the foundation’s ongoing social initiatives and future plans.

The Lt Governor assured all delegations of the administration’s commitment to inclusive development and timely resolution of public grievances.
