DC Srinagar reviews ex-servicemen hostel work at Peerbagh

SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo Tuesday, conducted a site visit to under-construction Hostel for wards of ex-servicemen/martyrs at Peerbagh to inspect the quality and progress of work being executed on the project.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; District Social Welfare Officer, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad; Tehsildar Chanpora, Kifayat Hussain, Executive Engineer of R&B, Khalid Mehmood, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and other Officers.

On the occasion, the DC took a round of the various sections of the building and reviewed the progress of ongoing construction works. The DC was informed that the civil works part of the project, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 7.44 Crore, is reaching its final stage.

The DC instructed the executing agency to expedite the remaining interior works and ensure that the project is fully completed on priority.

The upcoming hostel is a G+2 structure comprising 25 rooms with a capacity of 100 beds, designed to cater to the residential needs of the wards of ex-servicemen and martyrs.
