SSB organises Medical Civic Action Camp at Islamia College Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Under the guidance of the Commandant, 10th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), a Medical Civic Action Camp was successfully organised on Wednesday in collaboration with the NGO Saving The Future at Islamia College of Science and Commerce.

The camp aimed to provide essential medical services to the local needy population, besides extending healthcare facilities to the college staff and students. A wide range of services, including general health check-ups, medical consultations, free distribution of medicines and health awareness programmes were offered during the camp.

Medical services were led by Dr. Dhiraj Kumar, AC (Medical Officer) SSB, and Dr. Syed Arif Kashani from We Care Super Speciality Hospital. More than 114 people were examined during the camp and provided comprehensive medical care.

The camp witnessed a large turnout of local residents and college students, reflecting the community’s trust and appreciation for such humanitarian initiatives.

The Commandant of 10 Bn SSB reiterated his commitment to continue similar welfare activities in future to ensure the well-being of the people in the region. He also expressed gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Tehmina Yousuf, Principal of the college, for generously providing the venue, and Advocate Syed Junaid Sadaat, Chairman of STF, along with college coordinator Dr. Suhail and NSS volunteers, for their support in ensuring the successful conduct of the medical camp.
