SRINAGAR: The 76th Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, was celebrated with solemnity and patriotic fervour across all districts of the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday, with Preamble reading ceremonies held at district headquarters and District Courts to reaffirm collective faith in the ideals of the Indian Constitution.
On the eve of Constitution Day, district-level functions were organised where the Preamble was read out and citizens took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. At the district headquarters, the respective Deputy Commissioners presided over the ceremonies and read the Preamble and its guiding principles enshrined in the Constitution.
Simultaneously, the 76th Constitution Day was also observed across all District Courts of the Kashmir Division. The Principal District and Sessions Judges led the celebrations by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution, reaffirming the judiciary’s commitment to uphold constitutional values, democratic principles, and the rule of law.
The celebrations aimed at strengthening awareness about constitutional rights and duties and reinforcing the spirit of democracy among citizens and institutions alike.
