The purpose of these camps is to facilitate the settlement of unclaimed bank deposits, dormant insurance amounts, inactive mutual funds and dividend proceeds, unclaimed shares, and other unclaimed or inactive financial assets held across various institutions. The initiative seeks to ensure that every rupee saved by citizens can be rightfully claimed by them or by their legal heirs and nominees.

The camps will be held on 21st November (Friday) at Townhall in Anantnag at 11 am, at Suraj Palace in Reasi at 11 am, at J&K Bank’s Zonal Office in Rajouri at 11.30 am, whereas the camp at  Poonch district will be held at Dak Bangalow on 22nd November (Saturday) at 2 pm.

Public representatives, MPs and MLAs have been invited to participate in the event. The District Administration, along with officials and representatives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all banks, insurance companies, SEBI, PFRDA, NABARD, and the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), will also be present to guide the public and facilitate on-the-spot claim processing and disbursement.

People have been encouraged through recent BLBC meetings, FLC outreach programmes, and awareness drives conducted by banks and district authorities to attend these camps with valid identity proof and relevant supporting documents for on-the-spot settlement of claims.

The Lead District Managers of Anantnag, Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi have appealed to the general public to participate in these camps and make full use of these facilitation camps to identify, verify, and recover unclaimed financial assets belonging to them or their family members.
