Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Shopian, Awantipora and Ganderbal, and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that at Manihal crossing in Shopian, 245 grams of cannabis was recovered from the possession of Shahnawaz Ahmad Allai of Melhura Zainapora, who was subsequently arrested.
At Kharchek Sharshalli road in Awantipora, one Bilal Ahmad Lone of Sharshalli was arrested after 1.183 kg of ‘Bang Choora’ was recovered from his possession.
One Ayan Ibni Ahmad of Nawabagh Ganderbal was arrested at Nawabagh near Government Unani Medical College after 27 strips of Spasmo-Proxyvon-Plus capsules (total 216 capsules) were recovered from him.
Cases under revevant laws have been registered at respective police stations for further investigations, police said.
