Tangmarg: MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah today inaugurated a three-room school building at Middle School Budipora, Zonr Tangmarg, constructed at a cost of ₹28 lakhs, and a residential quarter for teachers at High School Baderkoote, Zone Tangmarg, constructed for 52 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Farooq Ahmad Shah said that the government is committed to providing better educational facilities to the students, as education is the foundation of every nation. He added that improving school infrastructure in rural areas is a top priority to ensure quality education for every child.
Later, the MLA visited Pinjoora and Goigam villages to inspect the ongoing developmental works, and directed the administration to complete the works of School and Medical Aid Centre buildings in time bound manner while maintaining quality standards.
Farooq Ahmad Shah also inspected the proposed site for the development of a playfield at Goigam. He assured the local residents of every possible support towards the development of infrastructure aimed at improving education, strengthening the health sector, and providing enhanced sports facilities.
The constituents of Gulamrg Constituency thanked the MLA for his continued efforts to improve educational and health infrastructure in the constituency.
