Taking a detailed appraisal of the work, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the officers to speed up the pace of work and ensure the timely completion of works on this much-awaited flyover so that it can be dedicated to public use within this month. He said that the project holds great significance for easing traffic congestion and improving road connectivity in Srinagar city.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government is fully committed to completing all languishing and ongoing projects across Jammu and Kashmir in the shortest possible time.

“Several projects that were pending for years have now been completed, including the Qamarwari Bridge, while many others are in their final stages. At the same time, new projects are being launched, like the widening of Boulevard Road to further improve road infrastructure and provide better facilities to the people,” he said.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also visited the Nowgam Bridge to inspect the condition of the road facility. He directed the engineers to take immediate measures for repair and maintenance to ensure smooth movement of traffic for public ease.

The Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the executing agencies and asked them to continue working with dedication and a sense of responsibility so that developmental works are completed within the stipulated timelines.
