Strong mandate for Aga Syed Mehmood key to Budgam’s progress: NC

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leaders today intensified their public outreach campaign in Budgam constituency, urging the people to deliver a decisive mandate in favour of Aga Syed Mehmood, describing him as a seasoned leader dedicated to safeguarding the rights and aspirations of the people.

Addressing a series of well-attended public meetings across Budgam, senior party leaders and legislators Ali Muhammad Dar, Dr. Sajad Shafi Uri, Reyaz Ahmad Bedar, Javed Beigh, and District President Budgam G.N. Bhat appealed to the electorate to strengthen the National Conference with their overwhelming support.

They said that a strong mandate in favour of Aga Syed Mehmood would reinforce the people’s representative voice in the legislative and developmental processes of Budgam. “Budgam has always been a bastion of political awareness and resilience. The people here understand that only the National Conference has the vision, legacy, and credibility to defend their interests and lead Jammu and Kashmir towards stability and progress,” the leaders said.

They further added that Aga Syed Mehmood has a long-standing record of public service, accessibility, and commitment to the welfare of all sections of society. “His victory will not only strengthen Budgam’s voice but also reaffirm the people’s faith in participatory democracy and the politics of principles,” they said.

The leaders urged people to turn out in large numbers on the polling day and ensure the success of Aga Syed Mehmood, reaffirming the National Conference’s pledge to uphold dignity, development, and democratic representation across Jammu and Kashmir.
