Srinagar: Police in Pulwama recorded another success by seizing a “sizable quantity” of contraband at Okhoo Kakapora and arrested one accused person.
A police team during routine naka checking at Okhoo Kakpora, seized a TATA 207 vehicle (JK01Q-0468) and arrested its driver Javaid Ahmad Dar, alias Jana Dar, son of Mohammad Maqbool of Okhoo Kakpora, after 5.565 kilograms of suspected poppy straw was recovered from the vehicle.
A case under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act was registered for investigation, police said.
