Srinagar: Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the last 23 years.
A police spokesperson said that Bashir Ahmad Mir, son of Mohammad Ashan Mir of Wathoo, Shopian, was wanted in a case registered in the year 2002 in Case FIR No. 28/2002 under sections 366, 376, and 109 RPC. He was arrested and produced before the court.
