The Ekta pledge ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel at all levels. The Ekta Pledge was administered across all units and offices by senior and supervisory officers of the District Police Srinagar. A grand Plantation Drive was organised across all units to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.  The event aimed to promote environmental sustainability and spread awareness about the importance of unity—both among people and between humanity and nature. The plantation drive was held at District Police Headquarters, District Police Lines, all Police Stations, Police Posts and other establishments of the District Police Srinagar.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from all Police officials and other stakeholders to preserve the environment. The programme commenced with a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, followed by the administration of the “Rashtriya Ekta Pledge”, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to national integration and environmental protection. Afterwards, a large-scale tree plantation activity was conducted, during which over a hundred saplings of various species were planted across the premises and nearby areas of the Police units.

The participants also engaged in interactive sessions and awareness talks highlighting the significance of biodiversity, afforestation, and sustainable living. Posters and banners carrying messages on unity and environmental preservation were displayed to encourage public participation and awareness.
