The felicitation programme at the party headquarters witnessed the presence of senior leaders, including Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma, BJP National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, J&K BJP General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan, and MLAs Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Arvind Gupta, Th. Randhir Singh, Surinder Bhagat, Mohan Lal Bhagat, among others.

During the programme, Sat Sharma, overwhelmed by the affection shown by the party cadre, extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, National General Secretary & J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh, as well as all senior party colleagues and grassroots workers of the J&K BJP.

Sat Sharma said that this position is not for enjoyment but for service, service to the nation, the organization, and the people. Reflecting on the journey that led to the victory, he described it as “the triumph of truth, brotherhood, and organizational strength”, crediting Prime Minister Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ for the success.

Sharma praised Sunil Sharma for his tireless organizational work throughout the election process, affectionately referring to him as “Arjuna and Chanakya” of the campaign. He also commended Chander Prakash Ganga for his unparalleled dedication, noting how he cast his vote and immediately departed to attend the final rites of his wife, an act that deeply moved everyone.

Sat Sharma added that the celebrations outside Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, after the victory were “mesmerizing and unprecedented,” symbolizing the devotion and spirit of BJP workers across Jammu & Kashmir. He reaffirmed his commitment to work tirelessly for the organization, expressing heartfelt gratitude to every worker and well-wisher for their unwavering love, blessings, and support.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Sharma lauded the exemplary organizational discipline of BJP cadre, which, he said, has earned the party growing support from every corner of the Union Territory. He pointed out that many MLAs across parties, particularly from the National Conference, are expressing dissatisfaction with the current state government and seeking a new political direction aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of peace and development in Jammu & Kashmir. This support in the Rajya Sabha election is just the beginning, he said and sincerely expressed his gratitude to all the MLAs who have extended their support for this cause.

Earlier, BJP leaders expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Chander Prakash Ganga for their loss.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Gopal Mahajan, while Baldev Singh Billawaria presented the vote of thanks.

Later, Sat Sharma, along with senior party leaders, visited the Mata Bawe Wali Shrine to seek divine blessings. Subsequently, they paid a visit to the residence of MLA and senior leader Chander Prakash Ganga to personally convey heartfelt tributes and solidarity with the bereaved family.
