Srinagar: Police have arrested three absconders in Anantnag and Baramulla districts.
A police spokesperson informed that Police Station Aishmuqam apprehended two individuals who had been evading arrest for more than 10 years. The arrested individuals were identified as Arif Ahmad Sheikh, son of Suleiman Sheikh of Tagdi Nazirpora (Kolkata), and Mohammad Shameem Sheikh, son of Minto Sheikh, resident of Kala Chowk, Tagdi Nazirpora, Kolkata.
Both accused were involved in separate burglary and theft cases registered in the year 2013 and had been absconding since 2014 to evade arrest.
In Baramulla, police apprehended Mohammad Ashraf Wani, son of Jalal-ud-Din Wani of Singhpora Pattan, who had been evading arrest since 2016.
