Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday approved the adhoc appointment of eleven Sub-Judges as District Judges (Entry Level), following recommendations from the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to Government Order No. 15108-JK(LD) of 2025, issued by the Department of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, the appointments have been made in accordance with Rule 20 of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.

The judicial officers appointed as District Judges (Entry Level) on an adhoc basis include: Mir Wajahat, Aadil Mushtaq, Fozia Paul, Mehreen Mushtaq, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Imran Hussain Wani, Preet Simran Kour, Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, Umesh Sharma, and Sheikh Gowhar Hussain.

The order states that the appointments were made based on recommendations from the Registrar General of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, as communicated through Letter No. 63581/RG/GS dated 06-10-2025.

The ad hoc appointments are subject to specific conditions laid down by the government to ensure procedural compliance and judicial efficiency, an official press release said.
