Srinagar: The Departmental Promotion Committee, headed by the IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi, for assessing the suitability of eligible Head Constables for elevation to the next rank, has approved the promotion of 650 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector, police informed in a statement here.
It said IGP Kashmir has felicitated the promoted officials and their families and expressed hope that they will strive to work hard for maintaining public peace, tranquility and law & order in J&K.
