KPDCL announces power shutdown on October 15

SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown on October 15 to carry out branch cutting and routine preventive maintenance at the 190 MVA, 132/33 KV Grid Station Wanpoh and along the 132 KV Mirbazar-Wanpoh transmission line.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Branch cutting/routine preventive maintenance works, a shutdown of 190 MVA, 132/33 KV Grid Station Wanpoh, including 132 KV Mirbazar-Wanpoh Tr. Line shall be observed due to which Ashajipora, Dialgam, Janglatmandi, Brakpora, Malaknag, Quimoh, Redwani, Harnag, Nai Basti, Sarnal, Anchidora, Akora, Veeri, Shamsipora, Zirpora, Chinniwudder, SICOP, Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Tunnel Railway, Chowgam and Kund receiving stations shall remain off while power supply to Malaknag, Quimoh, Redwani, Harnag, Nai Basti, Sarnal, Anchidora, Akora, Veeri, Shamsipora, Zirpora, Chinniwudder, SICOP, Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Chowgam, Kund, Ashajipora, Dialgam, Janglatmandi, Brakpora and adjoining areas will be affected on 15 October, 2025 form 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM.

As per the separate shutdown schedule issued earlier by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, for the 33 KV Khunmoh SIDCO-II Line, the areas affected may be read as Industrial Area, Khunmoh & adjoining areas instead of BB Cant.
