BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj & Election Departments, Javid  Ahmad Dar, today attended the virtual launch of  Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY ) and Self-Reliance in Pulses Mission, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

MLA Baramulla, Javid Hassan Beigh; Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa; Heads of various departments, and progressive farmers were also present on the occasion.

The minister highlighted that these initiatives will play a crucial role in strengthening the agriculture sector, improving farmers’ income, and advancing sustainable and self-reliant farming practices across Jammu and Kashmir.

The event, aimed at boosting agricultural growth, enhancing food security and promoting self-sufficiency in pulses production.

Participants appreciated the Government of India’s continued focus on farmers’ welfare. The officers underlined the district’s commitment to effectively implementing these flagship programmes in alignment with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
