Dir Agri reviews HADP, JKCIP & CSS expenditure in Pulwama

PULWAMA: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah, today chaired a review meeting at Pulwama to assess the expenditure and progress under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP, and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

During the meeting, the Director took a detailed appraisal of scheme-wise and component-wise expenditure, physical achievements, and targets realised by the department in the district.

On the occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama gave a detailed presentation on the expenditure status under CSS, CAPEX, and HADP.

Stressing upon optimum utilisation of available funds, the Director impressed upon officers to ensure the timely completion of approved works to maximise benefits for the farming community.

He underscored that timely expenditure under HADP, CSS, and other interventions in a time-bound manner will play a pivotal role in transforming the agriculture sector.

The Director further emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability, and result-oriented execution of both centrally and state-sponsored programmes. He directed officers to maintain close coordination with field functionaries for effective implementation.

Highlighting the need for constant engagement with farmers, the Director urged officers to encourage the adoption of modern technologies and innovative practices to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the grassroots level.
